If you are a bride, I will work together with you, your hairdresser and your photographer to develop your vision for yourself on your big day. My job is to help you feel your most beautiful and most confident, yet still feel like yourself. You getting compliments of how lovely and radiant you look is my ultimate goal.

Your wedding day will, unfortunately, come and go. However, the photographs that are taken will last a lifetime. My skill will help your high definition pictures and portraits come to life with a flawlessness you never dreamed possible without tons of digital retouching. You will look flawless in person, on camera, and on video, from afar as well as at maximum zoom.

SO WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT AIRBRUSHING?

To put it quite simply, an air compressor is used to blow air through a small hose and out of an airbrush gun. As the air passes through the gun, it picks up, or atomizes, the foundation, allowing the artist to spray it onto the skin in the most delicate, fine layers. This delivers the absolute most micro-thin layer of foundation which looks and feels unbelievably light. Even better, it is build-able coverage, which allows the artist to build and sculpt the face without using tons of heavy makeup.

There are a couple of different bases of foundation you can use to airbrush: water-based and silicone-based. I use silicone-based because it holds up exceptionally well in our humid climate. Once your makeup is on, it will STAY on all day and through the night until you take it off. The only touch up that should be needed throughout the day is lip color. The silicone-based foundation also tends to float over and fill in any larger pores, fine lines and wrinkles or small scars, making them appear less noticeable.

Blemishes, scars, and tattoos can be very successfully covered with airbrush makeup without using tons of makeup, as well as skin conditions such as rosacea and bruising. CUSTOM BLENDED FOUNDATION

Not everyone can fall into the cookie-cutter colors of over-the-counter cosmetic foundations. With the airbrush system, I am able to custom blend your foundation on the spot so that it perfectly matches your own skin tone. What does that mean? No crazy foundation lines at the jaw! No looking too pink, or too yellow, or too orange…and you won’t look like you’re wearing a ton of makeup. You will look like YOU, only better!

HAVE YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE?

I have seen and heard of makeup artists that are very heavy-handed with the makeup. Now, granted, for portraits to look best, you do need to wear a considerable amount more makeup than most of us wear on a normal day to day basis, however, I do not believe that it is necessary for anyone to walk out feeling as if she was about to enter a drag queen contest (no offense intended to our beautiful queens out there!). The absolute MOST important aspect is that the bride FEEL beautiful on her day. That’s why I strongly recommend a trial run, and I take before and after digital photos and we look at before and after photos of other clients to see what look would best suit her comfort level. I want my brides to look like themselves, only better, not like a whole different person. Of course, if she wants a lot of makeup and a total transformation, we can do that, too. The bride is in the driver’s seat.
